How to Use Trailblaze Power Efficiently in Honkai: Star Rail
Trailblaze Power (TP) is the main stamina resource in Honkai: Star Rail. It caps at 240, regenerates at 1 per 6 minutes, and is your most valuable daily resource. Spending it wisely is the difference between an account that progresses steadily and one that stagnates for weeks.
Trailblaze Power Priorities by Account Stage
Early Game (Equilibrium Level 0–2)
In the early game, your primary bottleneck is character ascension materials and trace materials. Focus your TP here:
- Echo of War (Weekly Boss): Complete your weekly allowance of 3 drops for character ascension materials. These are your hardest progression gate.
- Stagnant Shadow: Farm element-specific ascension materials for your main DPS and key supports.
- Calyx (Golden): For trace upgrade materials (skill books). Prioritize your main DPS's traces first.
Mid Game (Equilibrium Level 3–5)
Once your characters are leveled and traces are partially upgraded, shift toward relic farming:
- Cavern of Corrosion: Your primary relic farming destination. Focus on one or two relevant relic sets at a time.
- Echo of War: Continue weekly clears — you'll need upgrade materials for new characters.
- Calyx (Golden): Credit farming when needed for level-ups and upgrades.
Late Game / Endgame (EL 5–6)
At this stage, nearly all your TP should go toward relic grinding. The difference between a well-rolled and a poorly-rolled relic set is enormous.
Where NOT to Spend Trailblaze Power
- Don't farm Calyx (Crimson) for XP excessively — use Trailblaze EXP from quests and events for character leveling whenever possible.
- Don't run Simulated Universe for relics if you can farm directly from Caverns of Corrosion — SU drops are less efficient per TP.
- Don't neglect your weekly bosses — missing weekly clears is one of the biggest progression mistakes new players make.
Relic Farming Efficiency Tips
| Activity | TP Cost | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Cavern of Corrosion | 40 | Targeted relic set farming |
| Echo of War | 30 (weekly cap) | Character ascension mats + random relics |
| Calyx (Golden) | 10 | Trace books, credits, EXP materials |
| Stagnant Shadow | 30 | Character ascension materials |
Managing Overflow and Reserved Power
Trailblaze Power caps at 240 points. Any power generated beyond that is wasted. Log in at least once daily to avoid hitting the cap. If you can only play once a day, try to log in at the same time to maximize your daily regeneration window.
Use Reserved Trailblaze Power (earned from the Nameless Honor battle pass) as a supplement — not a primary resource. It's most valuable during double-drop events.
Double Drop Events: When to Hoard TP
HoYoverse regularly runs events that double the drops from specific Calyxes or Caverns. When a double-drop event targets a set you need:
- Save your Reserved Trailblaze Power leading up to the event.
- Use Fuel items (Immortal Scentwood) if necessary to push extra runs.
- Prioritize these windows — you can get twice the relics for the same TP cost.
Efficient Trailblaze Power management might seem minor, but over weeks and months it adds up to dozens of extra relic drops — which can mean the difference between a 70 CRIT Rate character and a 50 CRIT Rate character.
