Firefly (SAM) is one of the most powerful Fire Break DPS characters in Honkai: Star Rail. She specializes in dealing massive Super Break damage, making her a cornerstone of Break-focused team compositions. This guide covers everything you need to maximize her output.
Firefly's Role & Playstyle
Firefly is a Fire-element Destruction character who transforms into her SAM mech form during combat. Her damage output is closely tied to the Break Mechanic — she deals enormous damage when enemies are Weakness Broken, especially with the Super Break system introduced alongside her release.
She is primarily a main DPS and works best when her team enables frequent Weakness Breaks and provides SPD buffs to maximize turn count.

- On the Fall of an Aeon (4★ Herta Store): Solid ATK% stacking light cone; a very strong F2P option when superimposed.
- Boothill's LC or Rappa's LC: If you own these, they may outperform On the Fall of an Aeon in Break-focused builds.
- A Secret Vow (4★): Budget option; decent but not optimal for endgame content.

Cavern Relic (4-Piece): Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge
This is Firefly's best-in-slot 4-piece set. It scales directly with Break Effect and provides a significant Super Break DMG multiplier — perfectly aligned with her kit.
Planar Ornament (2-Piece): Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern
